Why hasn’t Carlos Slim ever owned an FMF club?
Dude just sank another $250 million in the New York Times, at a time when the newspaper business is going down the drain.

Back in September, he bought a 6.4% stake in the Times for $128 million. The stock has since tanked, so that his stake is now worth $58 million.
Instead of flushing Mexico’s wealth down U.S. money holes, he could be owning an FMF team or two, improving stadiums and other facilities, paying better salaries, investing in youth development programs.
No?
It would make a lot of financial sense to invest in a team like morelia or a 1A team and make it successful… With the kind of money he has he could easily buy players and invest in player developement resulting in dethroning the big 2 (CHIVAS/AMERICA) as FUTBOLsuper powers… and he would make bank!
