Holiday Insurance….????
Hey
Im 2 years im going to go on a road trip to North America.
I will be driving round about 8 thousand miles and will be over there for 50 days. I will be in the USA for most my travel and will be in Canada for about 5 days. I will visit Mexico for about 9 hours (a border city right next to the USA)
Here is the map of where i will travel.

I know its big and i know it will cost a lot, but im just wandering, could you give me a idea of how much my insurance for this holiday will cost. (I will only be drinking alcohol in Canada and Mexico if that makes a difference) I know this is a stupid question, but could you give a guess of how much it might cost? (oh and i will be traveling at summer time so Alaska and the norther Canadian provinces wont be anywhere near as dangerous, I will be 19 too)
Thanks.
It’s not a stupid question.
If you mean automobile insurance there are many factors that affect the cost, and you MAY need a different policy to drive into Mexico.
First check with your home auto insurance (or the insurance company used by your parents) to find out if they will cover you on your trip (possibly for an extra fee). If that doesn’t work check with the auto club for the country where you live.
The American Automobile Association may not be able to insure you, but check with them anyway:

Finally, the place you get your vehicle may be able to arrange insurance.
Good luck!
