I want to drive to mexico near the beach, and i live in dallas tx, whats a good city close, besides cancun?

The nearest best beach for you is Corpus Christi. There are NO beaches on the Mexcio gulf coast until you get down near Tampico…and they are so-so there. Cancun is 4 days driving. There are nice “wild ” beaches along the Emerald coast in the state of Veracruz…about 14 hrs drive from the U.S. border. There are small, but nice hotels along there and totally uncivilized beaches…it is nothing like the big beach resorts. I live in Veracruz and have driven that road along the entire gulf coast…there just are no other beaches close enough to you in Mexico.
