Los Cabos/Cabo San Lucas?
What is the difference between Los Cabos and Cabo San Lucas? Is Los Cabos the entire area and Cabo San Lucas is part of it? And what is Cabo?
We are thinking of going there on Spring Break and staying at the Westin Los Cabos. How is the resort?
What can we do at the resort or the town it’s located in?
Is this a safe area for a family vacation? Any other tips or reviews…
We are still deciding whether to go there for spring break or to Puerto Rico. We went to Puerto Rico last spring break & it was spectacular! should we try los cabos/cabo san lucas or go back to Puerto Rico?

Los Cabos is a region and used to be the only name for the airport. Now some officially call it SJD. The region of Los Cabos has two main cities. Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. The airport that services the region is in San Jose del Cabo
It means The Capes ..Cape San Lucas and San Jose of the Cape.
The Westin” los Cabos” is on the “traspeninsular” between both cities and is 15 miles from the airport. The other of the two “Westin los Cabos” is much closer and is in fact in San Jose del Cabo, so it is safe for swimming although it maybe cool in the Sea of Cortez.
Fabulous hotel.
The only place you really can`t swim is on the pacific side , down in Cabo Sa Lucas.
There is no such place or city know as “Cabo”
The southern Baja is relatively safe and has a low crime rate. As for your hotel , it is a compound
